St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church

Give

Every gift, large or small, helps us keep the doors open and the table set. Thank you.

Everything we do at St. Andrew’s, from Sunday worship to the food box at the sidewalk, is carried by the generosity of ordinary people. When you give, you are not funding an institution. You are helping set a table, clothe a neighbor, feed a family, and keep a 160-year-old church a place of welcome for whoever walks through the door next. Thank you for your part in it.

Give online

The simplest way to give is online, through our secure giving partner, Tithe.ly. You can make a one-time gift or set up regular giving in just a few minutes.

Give by mail or in the plate

Prefer to give the old-fashioned way? You have two good options.

  • By mail. Send a check or money order to the address below. Please do not mail cash. Use a check or money order so your gift arrives safely.
  • In the plate. Bring your gift to worship and place it in the offering plate. It will be gathered up and blessed during the Sunday service, offered to God along with the prayers of the whole congregation.

We are St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 925 Plowman Street, Montevallo, Alabama 35115.

Give clothing

Our Wardrobe ministry is a free clothing closet for anyone in need, and it runs entirely on donations. If you have clean, gently used clothing to share, we would be grateful for it. See the Wardrobe page for what we can accept and where to leave it.

Give food

Hunger is real in our community, and a box of food can carry a family through a hard week. Any day, any time, you can drop non-perishable, non-expired food in the food box at the sidewalk in front of our building.

Our members in Bibb County also keep the community food boxes stocked closer to home, and you are welcome to do the same. There are four drop-off spots in all: the box at our door in Montevallo, plus three in Bibb County, around Centreville and Brent. See them all on the map below, and tap any one for directions.

Volunteer

A parish is its people. Right now we are especially looking for hands to help with keeping the grounds, the simple, steady work of tending the lawn and gardens that frame our worship. If you have a little time and a willingness to work, we would love to have you. To find your place, reach out to Charles Henson, our Junior Warden.

Tax statements and questions

St. Andrew’s is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama, and your gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Our treasurer, Karen, can provide a letter documenting your donations and a year-end statement for IRS tax purposes. Just ask, and she will take care of it.

Questions about giving? Contact the Rev. Quincy Hall. Questions about volunteering? Contact Charles Henson. However you give, of your money, your clothing, your food, or your time, thank you for helping St. Andrew’s be a place of grace in Montevallo.
