St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church

Sermons

Preaching for a wounded world, streamed live from Montevallo as often as we can manage. Catch up here, or join us live.

Every Sunday at St. Andrew’s, the Word is read and preached, and most weeks the camera is rolling when it happens. Our priest, the Rev. Quincy Hall, preaches good news for a wounded world: resurrection, mercy, and hope you can build a week on. If you missed a Sunday, are homebound, are far from Montevallo, or simply want to hear it again, this page is for you.

The service streams live on our Facebook page most Sundays at 11:30 a.m. Central. We are a small parish, the camera is run by a few faithful volunteers, and volunteers catch colds and take vacations, so the occasional Sunday goes unrecorded. The worship happens anyway. Everything we have aired is archived on Facebook, and the buttons below will take you straight in. Quincy also writes weekly reflections and prayers at Q the Rev.

And if a sermon lands, do not let it end at the screen. Come some Sunday and hear one with the rest of us. The preaching is better with the singing around it.

Questions & Answers

Where can I watch St. Andrew's services online?
The Sunday service is streamed live on our Facebook page, facebook.com/standrewsmontevallo, and every past livestream is archived there too.
When is the livestream?
The Holy Eucharist, Rite Two, is celebrated every Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Central Time, and we stream it as often as we can. The camera is run by a few faithful volunteers, so when they are sick or away, a Sunday occasionally goes unstreamed. The archive on Facebook is always there to catch you up.
Do I need a Facebook account to watch?
Our livestreams are public, and you can usually watch them without an account, though Facebook may invite you to sign in along the way.
Is watching online the same as coming to church?
It is a real doorway, and for the homebound, the traveling, and the not-yet-sure it is a genuine grace. But the Eucharist is bread you can taste and a peace you can shake hands with, so when you are able, come and take your place at the table. The livestream will keep your seat warm, not take its place.
